Forever Spoken

"Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression." - Dr. Haim Ginott

This quote reminds me that the children I teach are not only human, but are sponges. Anything that they I say or do makes a lasting impression on them.

  1. I really like your quote! It is so true. I would like to make a great impression as they fall onto the cement. I just see so many children falling through the cracks of the cement.
    Thank you for sharing.

  2. Hi Karla,

Your quote is so true. This is why we are to be careful what we do and say in front of children because they are like sponges and we would not like to influence them negatively.

  3. Hi Vanessa and Tracy! This quote is very true. It often reminds me of the words that I speak. It's so easy to get frustrated, but taking this class has helped me to be more mindful of the influence I have when children are in my care.

  6. Wonderful quote , and oh so true, right from birth on through. My two year old Grandson asks why, why why after everything you say and they repeats everything you say in a sentence ending in WHY. Thanks for the fabulous quote.

  8. Hello Karla I really enjoyed reading your blog. I also enjoy working with children in the field of early childhood education. I have a passion for education because I understand how important it is for students to learn necessary information ages 2-5 which will help them excel throughout elementary, high school and college. Great post!
